Global connections

Smaller companies and large corporations that need to connect with multiple business and project partners in a multitude of locations are being offered a teleconferencing option that is competitively priced.

IDT Asia, the regional operation of IDT Telecom, recently launched IDT Connect Asia, a global teleconferencing service for small and large businesses.

The service includes an online account management system. All conference calls go into one monthly statement, while individual conference calls can be assigned with accounting codes when they are established so that the cost can be allocated to individual projects.

IDT offers dialing access points into the service from 36 countries.

New customers can choose the service as an option when becoming a subscriber or use the service on a standalone basis while existing customers can add IDT Connect Asia simply by making a call.

Our goal is to show that high-quality conferencing can be easy to use and a cost-effective tool not just for large multinationals but also affordable and effective for small and medium-sized businesses in the region, says Chip Barton, managing director of IDT Asia.

One of the first local companies to sign up for IDT Connect Asia is the Hong Kong office of Advantage Partners, a private equity firm.
