"We have agreed on beefing up bilateral cooperation extensively and intensively in many fields, including economy, trade, investment, construction, oil and gas, education, science and technology and tourism," Vietnamese State President Nguyen Minh Triet told reporters Monday right after holding talks with visiting Croatian President Stjepan Mesic. Both Vietnam and Croatia are non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, which create conditions for the two countries foster bilateral and multilateral cooperation, Triet said, noting that Mesic's visit will help bring the bilateral relations to new height in a more substantial and effective manner. The Croatian president said that the two sides agreed on all issues they discussed, and that his country wants to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in various spheres.
